Vegan Bread Sauce
Just because you're vegan, it doesn't mean you can't enjoy traditional English food. This is a veganised bread sauce recipe to go with your vegan Christmas dinner.
1 large onion, peeled
Stick the cloves into the onion and place in a saucepan with the soya milk. Heat until just boiling. Remove from the heat and leave to infuse for an hour.
Add a large walnut-sized knob of vegan margarine, salt and pepper to taste, and the breadcrumbs. Mix well and cook over very low heat (or in the bottom of the oven in a covered dish) for about 15 minutes.
Just before serving remove the onion and add a dash of vegan cream if desired.
