| Ingredients
1 large onion, peeled
6 to 8 cloves
½ pint soya milk
vegan margarine
1 tea cup fresh white breadcrumbs
vegan cream (optional) |

Method
Stick the cloves into the onion and place in a saucepan with the soya
milk. Heat until just boiling. Remove from the heat and leave to infuse
for an hour.
Add a large walnut-sized knob of vegan margarine, salt and pepper
to taste, and the breadcrumbs. Mix well and cook over very low heat (or
in the bottom of the oven in a covered dish) for about 15 minutes.
Just before serving remove the onion and add a dash of vegan cream if
desired. |
