4 bananas
4oz self raising flour
1 tsp soya flour
¼ pint water
salt
sugar
Notes
You should be able to get soya flour from your local whole food shop.
It's handy to have some in the cupboard as you can use it for pancakes
too. |

Method
Make a thick batter by mixing the flours, water and a pinch of salt together.
Cut the bananas into 1½ inch chunks and gently stir into the mixture
until they are all covered in batter.
Deep fry the bananas in batches for 3 mins until golden brown. Drain,
sprinkle with 1 tsp sugar, and serve with big dollops of vegan ice-cream
(e.g. Swedish Glace). Yum!
(Don't burn your mouth on the banana - it gets very hot!)
